Alex first came to STM as a patient before joining the team as a Patient Experience Coordinator and now Office Manager. Having been on the patient side, Alex understands what it’s like for patients seeking care for the first time, experiencing a new injury, and coming back from setbacks. As an avid long-distance runner, she knows all about the aches, pains, and injuries that come from an active life and she uses this knowledge and experience to help guide patients to the right practitioner.
Working in a clinic setting since 2014, Alex has seen ICBC and extended health insurance evolve and change over time. She prides herself on keeping up with these changes to best serve patients so they have one less thing to worry about when seeking care. While she can’t explain the specific details of your plan, she is always happy to explain things like deductibles, co-pays, reasonable and customary limits, and coordination of benefits to help empower patients in understanding how their insurance coverage works.
Alex graduated from UBC with a geography degree in Environment and Sustainability and is a certified personal trainer (NASM-CPT). Outside of the office, she enjoys running, cooking and baking, and keeping up with her two cats, Minnie and Flynn.
